Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has declared his unwavering commitment to integrity, stating that he has never demanded or accepted a bribe throughout his career. He attributes this steadfast stance against corruption to the profound moral upbringing and teachings of his late father.

Ojajuni shared this conviction during a ceremony at the St. Martin Catholic Police Chaplaincy in Abeokuta. The event, which included the administration of the Sacrament of Confirmation and the blessing of a new grotto, was presided over by the Catholic Bishop of Abeokuta Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Olukayode Odetoyinbo. Senior police officials were also in attendance.

Recounting a personal experience from early in his career, Ojajuni detailed how his father refused a loan he had secured from the Police Cooperative to help with house renovations. His father insisted that the money must be legitimately obtained, prompting Ojajuni to secure a certificate of indebtedness before his father would accept the funds. This experience, he explained, solidified his resolve to uphold integrity.
