I will remember anyone who treated me kindly for the rest of my life, says Siti Khadijah

Siti Khadijah Halim became emotional while recalling how senior actors supported her when she was 20 and still finding her footing in Malaysia’s entertainment industry.

She named Mira Filzah, Sherry Alhadad, Eina Azman and Izzaty Abdullah as colleagues who treated her warmly despite their greater experience. Khadijah said she was on her own at the time and did not have an assistant, so gestures that might have seemed minor to others carried particular weight for her.

She remembered one late-night shoot with Mira Filzah that ended around 2 or 3 a.m. Mira waited until Khadijah had entered her car and begun her journey before leaving the location herself. Khadijah also recalled Mira looking after her like a younger sister when she needed to change clothes.

I want to do the same for my juniors because I myself have received kindness from others.

“Anyone who is kind to me, I will remember for the rest of my life,” Khadijah said during the Confession Bilik Gelap podcast. She said the memories still affect her because the people offering help may not realize how deeply their actions influence someone who is new and struggling to establish a career.

Khadijah now wants to pass that kindness on to younger actors. She said receiving support at the beginning of a career creates a lasting memory, and she hopes to continue the same goodwill in the industry.
