Iceland’s Ion hotel and Tenerife’s Ritz-Carlton Abama named among Europe’s most beautiful

Two hotels popular with Icelandic travelers appear near the top of Time Out’s list of Europe’s most beautiful hotels. Tenerife’s Ritz-Carlton Abama ranks third, while Iceland’s Ion Adventure takes fourth place.

Ion Hotel stands out for its design and has attracted international attention and numerous awards. Architects Erla Ingjaldsdóttir and Tryggvi Þorsteinsson designed the Icelandic hotel.

The Ritz-Carlton Abama is described as one of Tenerife’s distinctive pink hotels. It is relatively secluded, appealing to guests seeking privacy at a five-star property near a golf course. Its architecture is another feature highlighted by the ranking.

Ashford Castle in Ireland took first place. The list also included the Four Seasons in Florence, The Phoenicia in Malta, Hotel Mayfair in London, Le Pavillon de la Reine in Paris, Gleneagles in Scotland, Villa Igiea in Palermo, Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium in Amsterdam and Hospes Infante Sagres in Porto.
