Icelandic Starlet Scores Second Hat-Trick in Two Games for Dortmund U19s

Icelandic talent Bjarki Hrafn Garðarsson is making a remarkable impact in Germany, scoring his second hat-trick in just two matches for Borussia Dortmund's U19 team. Garðarsson netted three goals within the first 19 minutes of Dortmund's opening U19 league match against Oberhausen on Tuesday, which the team won 4-2.

Garðarsson, who joined Dortmund this summer from his boyhood club Stjarnan, has had an explosive start to his tenure. In his previous match against Kiel, he also scored a hat-trick. This brings his total to an impressive six goals in his first two appearances for the club's youth academy.

He opened his scoring account in the match against Oberhausen after just eight minutes, adding his second goal in the 15th minute. He completed his hat-trick just four minutes later, in the 19th minute. Dortmund secured their fourth goal later in the second half, leaving Oberhausen with no chance of a comeback.

Comparisons have been drawn between Garðarsson and Manchester City star Erling Braut Haaland. Both players are of similar height, left-footed, and first gained significant attention at Dortmund before moving on. Notably, Haaland also scored a hat-trick in his debut match for Dortmund, adding an interesting parallel to Garðarsson's rapid rise.
