Illegal Marijuana Lab Discovered: Police Seize Half a Ton, Arrest Six

Serbian police have dismantled an illegal marijuana laboratory in the village of Vodanj, near Smederevo, seizing a substantial amount of drugs and apprehending six suspects. The operation was conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, specifically the Drug Enforcement Service, with support from the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit and the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Smederevo.

During the raid, officers discovered the illicit facility where marijuana was being cultivated. Approximately half a ton of the drug, in both dried and raw forms, was confiscated along with all the necessary equipment for its cultivation. The police apprehended six individuals, identified by their initials M.K. (53), N.S. (44), M.R. (44), B.Č. (30), D.S. (31), and D.K. (40), at the scene.

All six suspects have been detained for up to 48 hours. They are expected to be brought before the competent prosecutor's office along with criminal charges for unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs. This successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts by Serbian law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and organized crime within the country.
