Illegal settlements by undocumented immigrants in Pahang are posing a significant threat to the state's sovereignty and the safety of its residents. The issue demands a drastic and uncompromising approach, according to Pahang State Assembly Speaker Datuk Seri Mohd. Sharkar Shamsudin.

Sharkar voiced his full support for the decree issued by the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa, emphasizing the need to address the encroachment of government land and the presence of illegal settlements. He stressed that these issues must be tackled decisively to safeguard the state's sovereignty and ensure public security.
