IMCTC and Türkiye Discuss Counter-Terrorism Cooperation

The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition is seeking deeper cooperation with Türkiye on combating terrorism and extremism.

IMCTC Secretary-General Major General Mohammed Al-Moghedi received Turkish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Emrullah Isler at the coalition’s headquarters in Riyadh. They discussed areas of mutual interest, stronger coordination and collective efforts against terrorist organizations.

Al-Moghedi presented the coalition’s main activities, programs and strategic initiatives across four areas: ideology, media, counter-terrorist financing and military work. The two officials stressed the need for stronger international efforts and effective partnerships to disrupt terrorist groups and the ideological and financial networks supporting them.

They also commended the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement, calling it an important step toward greater cooperation and solidarity and toward consolidating security and stability. During his visit, Isler toured the headquarters and received briefings on the coalition’s operations and the methods it uses to develop and implement programs across member states.
