IMSS Digital Pay Stub 2026: Who Should Apply and What to Know

The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) has introduced the Digital Pay Stub (Tarjetón Digital) for 2026, a new technological tool designed to enhance the experience for its beneficiaries. This initiative aims to simplify the process of accessing social security information, updating payments, and managing various procedures.

The Digital Pay Stub effectively replaces the traditional physical pay stub. It centralizes all relevant data onto an online platform, ensuring greater transparency in employment and financial details. A key benefit is the ability for users to complete these tasks without needing to visit an IMSS office in person.

This digital service is exclusively available to three specific groups affiliated with the institution: active workers, pensioners, and retirees. To obtain and use the Digital Pay Stub, individuals must register through the official IMSS Digital portal. The process involves filling out a digital form with personal information, creating an access key, and confirming an email address. Users will receive a confirmation notification, which may take up to twelve hours, and must then validate their account via a provided link to enable information downloads.
