Indian boxing manager defends withdrawal over medical concerns

Indian boxing manager Neeraj Rendhu has defended boxer Rohit Chauhan's late withdrawal from the Kings Boxing Promotion, asserting the decision stemmed from a genuine medical issue. Promoter Narun Buksh had claimed the withdrawal resulted in financial losses and disrupted plans for Chauhan's anticipated bout against local boxer Mikaele Ravalaca.

Rendhu stated that the matter has been addressed with both the promoter and boxing authorities, with all necessary medical documentation submitted. He maintained that Chauhan's withdrawal was unavoidable due to the medical problem and that the boxer could not be compelled to compete. "This is a medical issue that is given from the boxer.
