Indian man Anshul Kuncha's murder in Philadelphia: 14-year-old boy arrested, charged

Philadelphia police have arrested a 14-year-old boy, Sincere Camps, charging him with murder in connection with the shooting death of Anshul Kuncha, an Indian man working as a pizza deliveryman.

The incident occurred on June 5 when Kuncha was reportedly lured to a vacant apartment building to deliver an order of three pizzas. Surveillance footage showed two individuals in dark clothing following Kuncha from his vehicle as he approached the location. Investigators found three pizza boxes and a bag inside the vacant property, but the food appeared untouched.

Kuncha was shot outside the building. Responding officers found him alive but unresponsive. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital. Camps was arrested on Friday, July 10, 2026, and faces charges including murder and robbery.

While police have identified robbery as the motive, initial reports suggested Kuncha's possessions were not stolen. Several questions remain unanswered, including the identity of the second individual seen with Camps in the surveillance footage, who placed the pizza order, and whether anyone was present in the vacant apartment at the time. Kuncha's family in India stated he had come to the US for higher education, earning a Master's in Business Analytics from Drexel University, and was working full-time while also holding a part-time job at a pizza outlet on weekends.
