Indian Restaurant Chain India Gate Opens 14th Branch in Kuala Lumpur

Indian restaurant chain India Gate has launched its 14th outlet in the vibrant Changkat, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, with its 15th branch slated to open in IOI Damansara next month. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the company, which began its journey in 2017.

Founder Saravanan Subramaniam attributed the growth to sacrifice, courage, determination, and unwavering belief. He recalled the initial vision to introduce authentic Indian flavors with high standards of quality, service, and hospitality to Malaysians. Despite facing numerous challenges, uncertainties, and difficulties, India Gate has emerged stronger, more mature, and poised for continued expansion, thanks to loyal customers, dedicated staff, business partners, and the support of friends and family.

India Gate's growth is evident not only in its expanding footprint but also in its numerous national and international accolades. The chain has been recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records for the highest biryani and naan sales by an Indian restaurant chain in Malaysia. Furthermore, it has received ASEAN Records and Asia Records for the highest biryani sales in the ASEAN and Asian regions, respectively.

Adding to its achievements, India Gate is the first Indian Fine Dining restaurant in Malaysia to obtain Halal certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim). This certification underscores the company's commitment to quality, hygiene, and food safety. India Gate also ranks among the top-performing Indian restaurants on GrabFood Malaysia, reflecting strong customer trust and support.

While celebrating its successes, India Gate emphasizes that true achievement lies in benefiting society, creating employment opportunities, developing talent, supporting families, and leaving a lasting legacy, rather than solely focusing on awards. To commemorate the new Bukit Bintang branch opening, the restaurant distributed 2,000 free biryani packs to the public, a tradition it upholds with each new outlet. The new outlet can accommodate approximately 130 diners and features an event hall on the first floor with a capacity for 100 people.
