Indonesia Launches Integrated Legal Services Festival in Bandung

The Directorate General of Legal Administration (Ditjen AHU) of Indonesia's Ministry of Law and Human Rights is organizing a "Festival Layanan AHU Berdampak" (Impactful AHU Services Festival) in Bandung, West Java, from August 29 to 31, 2026. The event aims to bring various legal administration services closer to the public by consolidating them in a single, accessible location.

Widodo, the Director General of AHU, emphasized that the festival is more than just an exhibition; it's a platform for citizens to seek direct consultations on their legal administration concerns. "Don't just come to look at the booths. If you have an unclear legal administration issue, come and consult," he urged. Widodo assured that a dedicated space would be available to help people understand their needs, with on-site resolution possible if requirements are met.

Held at the Trans Hotel and Atrium Trans Mall Bandung, the three-day festival offers a range of services. Visitors can attend consultation clinics, try digital service simulations, and access direct services for eligible matters. Five directorates under Ditjen AHU will be present, providing services such as individual company registration, fiduciary and notary services, citizenship, apostille, and services for civil servant investigators (PPNS).

Special attention is given to businesses and MSMEs, with services for individual company registration and education on beneficial ownership. For those needing documents for international use, apostille consultations are available. The festival also features a special edition of the "Pasti Ada Solusi" (There Is Always a Solution) program, designed to tackle current public issues with the involvement of relevant units and officials.

Widodo highlighted the importance of transforming the public's interaction with bureaucracy, stating, "The transformation of AHU services must be felt in the public's experience. The measure is not just how many applications or digital systems we build, but whether the public becomes more informed, accesses services more easily, and gains certainty in their affairs." The event also includes discussions on four draft laws: Business Entities Law, Movable Property Security Law, International Private Law, and Citizenship Law, involving experts and stakeholders.
