Indonesia's Ambon City Pays Out Two Months' Bonuses to Civil Servants for Independence Day

Ambon City Government in Indonesia has disbursed two months of employee income bonuses to civil servants, coinciding with the 81st anniversary of the nation's Independence Day. Mayor Bodewin M. Wattimena announced the payment, calling it a form of appreciation and a motivator for the staff. He expressed hope that this initiative would spur improvements in performance and public service quality.

In addition to the bonus announcement, the city government also presented the Satyalancana Karya Satya award to three civil servants. These awards recognized their long service of 10, 20, and 30 years. Romy Julian Lohy received the award for 10 years of service, Jonly Elvido Sihaya for 20 years, and Juliana Tomasoa for 30 years. Bodewin described the awards as a form of appreciation for the dedication of civil servants in carrying out their duties.
