Indonesia's BMKG Warns of Moderate to Light Rain in Major Cities

Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued a weather alert for Monday, warning of moderate to light rain in several major cities across the archipelago. The forecast, shared by BMKG forecaster Nurul Izzah Fitria, aims to keep the public informed about potential weather conditions.

In the western part of Indonesia, moderate rain is anticipated in Medan and Tanjung Selor. Additionally, light rain is expected to fall in Padang, Jambi, Tanjung Pinang, Bengkulu, Palembang, Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, and Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, areas like Banda Aceh, Pekanbaru, and Semarang will likely experience clearer skies, ranging from partly cloudy to overcast conditions.

The eastern regions of Indonesia are also forecast to receive light rain, with areas such as Mamuju, Palu, Manado, Manokwari, Jayapura, Jayawijaya, and Merauke expected to see precipitation. Other eastern cities like Denpasar, Mataram, and Makassar will likely have cloudy to heavily overcast skies.
