Indonesia's H1 2026 Investment Reaches Rp1,010.6 Trillion, Creates 1.44 Million Jobs

Indonesia's investment realization reached Rp1,010.6 trillion in the first half of 2026, marking a 7.2% growth compared to the same period last year. This figure represents 49.5% of the national target of Rp2,041.3 trillion for the year.

Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, expressed optimism during a press conference, stating that investor commitment remains aligned with the 2026 targets. "Alhamdulillah, I can say here, the commitment from investors to invest directly in Indonesia is still in line with the target set for 2026," Rosan said.

Beyond the financial figures, the investment realization in January-June 2026 also generated 1.44 million jobs, a 15% increase from the first half of the previous year. Notably, investment outside the island of Java accounted for Rp507.8 trillion, or 50.2% of the total investment. This surpasses investment within Java, which reached Rp502.8 trillion (49.8%), reflecting the government's efforts to promote equitable economic development across various regions.

The composition of domestic and foreign investment was nearly balanced. Domestic Capital Investment (PMDN) amounted to Rp502.9 trillion (49.8% of the total), while Foreign Capital Investment (PMA) reached Rp507.6 trillion (50.2%).
