Indonesia Wins Two Golds, One Silver at 2026 Woodball World Cup

The Indonesian Woodball Team has made a strong start at the 2026 World Cup Woodball Championship in Perlis, Malaysia, clinching two gold medals and one silver. The team's performance is seen as a validation of the sport's development within Indonesia.

The first gold medal was secured by the Fairway Men's Team, featuring Eka Candra Aprilyanto, Moh Habibullah, Fachri Husaini, I Gede Prabawa Mapet Darma Nugraha, Erif Nurachmad Satrio Mulya, and Ahmad Yopi Solpianda. The dominance of Indonesian players was further highlighted in the Fairway Women's Doubles, where two Indonesian pairs competed in the final. Bibit Setyaningati and Ika Yulianingsih took the gold, while Nur'Izza and Ardin earned the silver.

The success of winning two gold medals and achieving an All-Indonesian Final demonstrates that Indonesian woodball development is on the right track.

With several events yet to conclude, including men's and women's single stroke categories and various doubles competitions, Indonesia has significant opportunities to add to its medal tally. The Indonesian Woodball Association (IWbA) expressed optimism about the athletes maintaining their performance.

"The fight isn't over yet. There are still several events to be played, and the opportunity to win gold is still very much alive," said Aang Sunadji, Chair of IWbA. "We hope all athletes remain focused, maintain their condition, and perform optimally until the end of the championship."
