Indonesian artists embark on Hajj pilgrimage in 2026

A number of Indonesian celebrities are fulfilling one of the five pillars of Islam by undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage this year. Many have shared their experiences and gratitude on social media platforms. Singer Rizky DA is performing the Hajj with his mother, joining a group from Batubara Regency, North Sumatra. Actress Intan Nuraini expressed her profound joy and thankfulness on Instagram, sharing moments from the Nabawi Mosque in Medina. She highlighted the immense blessing of performing the pilgrimage alongside her beloved sister. "MasyaAllah Being called to the holy land is an immeasurable gift... being able to come together with my beloved sister, I can no longer find words... thank you, O Allah," she wrote. Rieke Diah Pitaloka, currently a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, is also among those performing Hajj. Videos show her in modest attire, and she is reportedly serving as part of a supervisory team for the DPR RI Hajj delegation in 2026, aiming to ensure a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage for all. Musical couple Ashanty and Anang Hermansyah are also making the journey. They held a 'walimatul safar' (a gathering before departure) and shared their departure with heartfelt messages and requests for prayers from their followers. "Alhamdulillah… Bismillah departing for the Holy Land. Please send the best prayers for our pilgrimage journey… May Allah always protect every step until we return," they posted on Instagram. Actor Aiman Ricky, also a Hajj officer for 2026, shared his gratitude and asked for prayers for his health and smooth service to the pilgrims. "Bismillah… The awaited day with full preparation has arrived. Please forgive me if I have made many mistakes and transgressions, and please pray for health, peace, and smoothness in serving the guests of Allah SWT," he wrote. For the second time, actor Raffi Ahmad is performing the Hajj, this time traveling alone.
