Indonesian businessman named suspect in electric motorcycle price-fixing case

Indonesian prosecutors have identified Andri Mulyono, a commissioner for PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal, as a suspect in a corruption investigation concerning the procurement of electric motorcycles. The case centers on the government's "Makan Bergizi Gratis" (MBG) program, managed by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for the 2025-2026 fiscal years. Mulyono is accused of inflating the prices of electric motorcycles provided to the program's nutrition fulfillment units. According to Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, Director of Investigation for the Attorney General's Office for Corruption Crimes, Mulyono engaged in unlawful communication with the commitment-making official (PPK) to advance the procurement plan. This occurred even though PT YAT, Mulyono's company, lacked an active dealership or workshop and did not meet the required qualifications at the time. To facilitate winning the tender, Mulyono allegedly collaborated with an individual identified as AA to acquire PT ASE. Prosecutors claim Mulyono unlawfully received full payment for the procurement by manipulating delivery documents to suggest the motorcycles were assembled and met specifications, despite the alleged price inflation. The Attorney General's Office has now named five suspects in the MBG program corruption case. These include former BGN head Dadan Hindayana, former deputy head Lodewyk Pusung, and private individuals Sony Sonjaya and Asep Yusuf Somantri.
