Indonesian Cleric Details Prophet Muhammad's Prayers During Hajj's Arafah Ritual

KH Ahmad Muhamad Mustain Nasoha, a prominent religious leader in Surakarta, Indonesia, has detailed the specific prayers recited by Prophet Muhammad during the Wukuf ritual in Arafah, a pivotal moment in the Hajj pilgrimage. These supplications are considered essential devotions for pilgrims undertaking this significant part of their religious journey.

According to Nasoha, who cited the historical Islamic texts "Al Hawi Al Kabir" by Imam Abi Hasan Ali Al-Mawardi and "Al Mushannaf" by Imam Ibnu Abi Syaibah, the prayers are a core practice. He shared the Arabic text and its Indonesian translation, which includes pleas for spiritual enlightenment, ease of affairs, and protection from various evils and afflictions.

Nasoha further explained that hadith concerning the virtues of remembrance on the Day of Arafah have been narrated by esteemed scholars. While textual variations exist, the overarching message emphasizes the importance of abundant remembrance of God (dzikir tauhid). He noted that for some scholars, the most robust narrations focus on the core tauhidic remembrance without additional specific prayers, underscoring the profound theological depth of these recitations beyond mere verbal repetition.
