Indonesian Islamic Group Praises 2026 Hajj as Smooth and Successful

The Indonesian Islamic organization Persis has commended the Saudi Arabian authorities for the successful execution of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. KH Haris Muslim, the General Secretary of Persis and an official religious supervisor appointed by Indonesia's Ministry of Religious Affairs, described the Hajj season as running smoothly and achieving a high level of success.

Muslim specifically pointed to the improvements in services provided by the Saudi government and Hajj organizing bodies. He noted that these enhancements significantly boosted the quality of services, especially in the logistical management of pilgrims moving between Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina, collectively known as Armuzna. This improved mobilization was a key indicator of the pilgrimage's success.

This ensured the core ritual of wukuf (standing vigil) in Arafah was performed effectively by all.

Further highlighting the efficiency, Muslim noted the seamless transition of pilgrims from Arafah to Muzdalifah and Mina. The stay in Muzdalifah, in particular, was described as one of the best, with all pilgrims having departed for Mina by 7:00 AM on the 10th of Zulhijjah. This early clearance of Muzdalifah was noted as a rare achievement in past Hajj seasons, underscoring the organizational improvements implemented for 2026.
