Indonesian Islamic Scholars Network Partners with Jombang Universities for Collaboration

The Central Leadership of the Indonesian Scholars Association of Nahdlatul Ulama (PP ISNU) is actively expanding its institutional network by forging strategic partnerships with universities in Jombang Regency, East Java. This initiative aims to enhance collaboration across various critical sectors.

The synergy was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with several Jombang-based higher education institutions. The collaboration encompasses a broad spectrum of strategic areas, including education and academic programs, research and publication, human resource development, community service, and scholarship programs with awardee support.

Participating universities include Universitas Darul Ulum (UNDAR), Universitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum (UNIPDU), Universitas Hasyim Asy'ari Tebuireng (UNHASY), Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah (UNWAHA), and Universitas PGRI Jombang (UPJB). The partnership also extends to Institut Teknologi Sains dan Kesehatan Insan Cendekia Medika (ITSKES ICME) Jombang, Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis PGRI Dewantara Jombang, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan (STIKES) Pemkab Jombang, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Husada Jombang, STIKES Bahrul Ulum, Institut Agama Islam Al Urwatul Wutsqo (IAI-UW) Jombang, and IAI At-Tahdzib.

PP ISNU's Secretary General, Wardi Taufik, stated that this collaboration is integral to broadening the association's network and specifically aims to boost educational quality, develop human capital, and encourage academics to contribute more significantly to society. The MoUs are expected to facilitate concrete and sustainable programs that benefit both the academic community and the wider public.
