Indonesian Military and Police Strengthen Synergy for Regional Stability

The XIII/Merdeka Regional Military Command (Kodam) and the North Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda Sulut) have formalized their commitment to bolster synergy and coordination. This strategic alignment is designed to foster a stable and secure environment within the northernmost province of Sulawesi.

Mayjen TNI Mirza Agus, the Commander of Kodam XIII/Merdeka, met with North Sulawesi Deputy Police Chief Brigjen Pol Awi Setiyono in Manado. During the meeting, both leaders underscored the critical importance of robust communication and seamless coordination between the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) for maintaining public order and safety.

"Good communication and coordination between the TNI and Polri are essential for supporting the creation of a conducive security and public order situation in the North Sulawesi region," stated Mayjen Mirza Agus. He affirmed Kodam XIII/Merdeka's full commitment to enhancing its solid relationship with Polda Sulut, aiming to strengthen their respective duties in providing security and excellent service to the public.

Brigjen Pol Awi Setiyono echoed these sentiments, describing the meeting as a crucial step in reinforcing institutional ties. He emphasized the need to preserve the existing harmonious relationship, stating, "Through this audience, it is hoped that the harmonious relationship and TNI-Polri synergy that have been established can continue to be maintained and improved."

This strengthened bond between the TNI and Polri is viewed as a vital asset for navigating future challenges. By working together, they aim to jointly safeguard the stability and order throughout North Sulawesi, contributing positively to the community, nation, and state.
