Indonesian Minister AHY assures students of safe, dignified learning environments

Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, has reaffirmed the government's dedication to ensuring students receive education in safe, dignified, and comfortable environments. Minister AHY made these remarks during his visit to inspect the reconstruction of the Al Khoziny Islamic boarding school complex in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

The minister highlighted that beyond building safety, the government is committed to providing essential supporting facilities, including adequate sanitation and access to clean water. He expressed his hope that these enhanced facilities would cultivate a more conducive learning atmosphere. "We want to provide something better and more comfortable for the students so they can be calmer and more focused in the teaching and learning process, in reciting the Quran, deepening religious knowledge, and building noble character," AHY stated.

The visit was attended by several government officials and local authorities, underscoring the importance placed on improving educational infrastructure for religious schools.
