Indonesian Motorcycle Gang Vandalizes Shop After Failed Fight Ambush

A motorcycle gang in Indramayu, Indonesia, vandalized a resident's shop in Desa Sukaperna after failing to find rivals for a planned street fight. The incident, which occurred around 4 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, was captured on CCTV and quickly went viral.

Police responded swiftly, with the Quick Reaction Unit (URC) of the Indramayu Polres arresting five suspects less than 24 hours after the incident. The arrested individuals, aged 16 to 26, were identified as GR, IF, JAF, KP, and AT. They confessed to being part of a group known as Mamprang21Ganks.

During the arrest, authorities seized several items, including three mobile phones, three machetes, two 'corbek' (a type of machete), and a Honda Beat motorcycle. The police emphasized their zero-tolerance policy towards street violence.

"There is no place for motorcycle gangs in Indramayu Regency. Anyone who causes trouble and disturbs the public will be pursued and dealt with firmly according to the law," stated AKP Muchammad Arwin Bachar, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indramayu Polres. The police are committed to ensuring the safety and peace of the community by taking decisive action against lawless groups.
