Indonesian Stars Shine at Cannes 2026 in Designer Creations

Indonesian celebrities turned heads at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, showcasing the vibrant talent of the nation's fashion designers. Several prominent figures graced the event, each adorned in exquisite creations, aiming to project Indonesia's unique style and cultural richness onto the international stage.

Actress Prilly Latuconsina made multiple striking appearances. Her first look featured a black halterneck gown by Liliana Lim, embellished with gold floral sequins and an open back. She later captivated in a shimmering gray corset dress by Lisa Ju, complete with a high back slit. A third ensemble saw her in a brighter palette, wearing a turquoise corset top and a patterned skirt by An'Soe, complemented by a matching scarf.

Raline Shah also presented a sophisticated style. She donned two designs by Sapto Djojokartiko: an ivory kebaya-style gown paired with a soft pink skirt, and later, a cream-brown tube dress with a dramatic train for a luxury jewelry event. Her latter look was enhanced by a stunning diamond and emerald set.

Director Kamila Andini showcased Indonesian artistry at the 79th Cannes Film Festival. For the Women in Cinema event, she wore a modified velvet kebaya janggan with a high-slit skirt by Sapto Djojokartiko. Later, at a press junket, she opted for a minimalist yet bold statement with a sleeveless top and oversized pants in dark blue and mustard yellow by Lululutfilabibi.

Aktris Asmara Abigail garnered significant attention on the red carpet with a fierce white gown by Stella Rissa, highlighting her exotic Indonesian features. Model and actress Jolene Marie Cholock-Rotinsulu wore a modern black kebaya and a brown batik skirt by Intan Avantie, embodying Indonesian themes.
