Indonesian teacher shares inspiration: 'Teaching is my life'

An Indonesian teacher, identified as "Bunda" (Mother), shared her profound perspective on teaching, viewing it not merely as a profession but as an intrinsic part of her life. She expressed humility before her audience of fellow educators, describing herself as "fakir ilmu" (poor in knowledge) but rich in age, limitations, and weaknesses.

"Mengajar Adalah Hidup dan Hari-Hari Bunda" (Teaching Is My Life and My Days), she stated, emphasizing that teaching is a 24/7 commitment, inseparable from her daily existence. For her, the journey to school each morning carries hope, and interactions with students involve not just imparting lessons but also instilling values, awakening dreams, and nurturing the belief that they can achieve a better future.

Despite facing challenging days filled with exhaustion, the teacher finds solace and renewed energy when students affectionately call out "Bundaaa...".
