Traders at 'Saung Kurban' in Bandung, Indonesia, are leveraging social media live streaming to sell sheep for the upcoming Qurban festival. This innovative approach has significantly boosted their sales, complementing traditional face-to-face transactions.

Fikri, a 31-year-old worker at Saung Kurban, stated that they have been using live streaming for three years. He noted that the method has a positive impact, helping to increase their sales. "It's quite a boost (for sales), the impact is indeed good," he said.

While live streaming attracts potential buyers, Fikri observed that only a few ultimately decide to purchase after viewing the animals online. However, the online exposure drives more customers to their physical sales location. "Right now, only about 20 or a dozen are left. So, out of an initial population of around 105," he explained, indicating a successful sale of most of their stock.

The strategy appears effective for the traders, allowing them to reach a wider audience and connect with customers who might not visit their physical stall otherwise. The combination of online visibility and in-person sales has proven successful for their Qurban animal business.
