INFINITE's Lee Sungjong Declares 'I Succeeded!' at Taipei Fan Meet, Thanks Fans for Lawsuit Support

South Korean boy band INFINITE member Lee Sungjong met with fans in Taipei on the evening of June 7, greeting them in Mandarin and expressing how much he missed them. He inquired about their well-being, asking if they had eaten and if they were caught in the rain, showcasing his consistent warm demeanor.

During his visit, Sungjong visited a fan-supported cafe, noting it was essential to go for their 16th anniversary. He also experienced a Taiwanese night market for the first time, sharing his journey on social media and praising his fans in Mandarin, calling them "great."

Beyond performing songs and interacting closely with fans, Sungjong revealed childhood photos, before-and-after weight loss pictures, and behind-the-scenes footage from his new song "Heaven." He also participated in a 100-second rapid-fire Q&A, answering questions about essential items in his luggage, his ideal type, and his most confident charm. He even attempted a dance from the group Orange Caramel.

The latter half of the event featured games like a hula hoop challenge, a word-guessing game, and a slipper-kicking contest. He joined fans on stage, successfully collecting three feathers symbolizing a return to heaven, which upgraded the initial "Hi Bye" to a high-five session for all attendees.

As the event concluded with a group photo, fans played a support video. They collectively chanted, "Sungjong, we will be your wings and always support you," deeply moving him. Sungjong recalled past memories upon seeing the video, remembering his experience as the first South Korean artist to be hospitalized by ambulance in Taiwan. He mentioned this memory surfaces every time he visits Taiwan. He also revealed that he still keeps a photo from two years ago of a fan holding a banner that read "Must win the lawsuit." Recalling the support he received, he exclaimed to the audience, "I succeeded!" thanking his fans for their continuous companionship and encouragement. He added that he gains energy from his Taiwanese fans every time he visits and hopes to return in the future.
