Intense Rain and Thunderstorms Batter Eastern Paraguay

Ciudad del Este and its surrounding areas in eastern Paraguay are experiencing intense rainfall and thunderstorms on Wednesday. The weather forecast indicates unstable conditions will persist throughout the day, accompanied by cool temperatures. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius.

The Directorate of Meteorology reports a cool day with mostly cloudy skies and winds from the south. Rain is expected to continue in the coming hours, possibly with occasional electrical storms, though conditions may improve as the day progresses. Rainfall accumulation has already reached 51 mm in Ciudad del Este's station and 35.7 mm at the Minga Guazú airport.

Looking ahead to Thursday, the forecast predicts continued cool weather with mostly cloudy skies and winds shifting from the southeast. The minimum temperature is expected to be 13 degrees Celsius, with a high of 21 degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to prepare for the ongoing meteorological phenomena.
