International drug trafficker wanted on red notice caught in Mersin

Turkish intelligence services have successfully apprehended an international drug trafficker who was wanted under a red notice. The suspect, identified as D.M. and of Russian nationality, was located and captured in the coastal city of Mersin.

The operation was the result of meticulous intelligence work by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT). Following the identification of the suspect's hiding place in Mersin, a large-scale operation was launched under the coordination of the Mersin Public Prosecutor's Office.

Multiple units from the Provincial Police Department, including the Public Order Branch, Intelligence Branch, Anti-Human Smuggling and Border Gates Branch, and the Anti-Narcotics Crimes Branch, participated in the coordinated raid. The suspect was apprehended in the Mezitli district of Mersin.

This successful operation highlights the effectiveness of Turkey's intelligence and law enforcement agencies in combating international organized crime and drug trafficking networks.
