International Friendship Day 2026: Live music options to celebrate

As International Friendship Day approaches on July 30, a variety of live music events are scheduled to help people celebrate with friends. This date, which originated in Paraguay thanks to Dr. Ramón Artemio Bracho, offers numerous options for those looking to enjoy the festivities with live performances.

Several venues are hosting special events throughout the week. Chinchilla, located at 25 de Mayo and Vicepresidente Sánchez, will feature national groups La de Roberto and Bastianes on Friday, July 31, starting at 7:00 PM. DJ Arcoiris Analógico will also be present, with tickets priced at G. 50,000.

The pub Kilkenny, at Malutín c/ España, is holding a "Friendship Week" featuring different bands each night. From July 28 to August 1, attendees can enjoy performances by Contraband, Snap, The Others, Arriband, and Capitán Jones, all performing rock and pop covers.

Sacramento Brewing Co. on Avda. Sacramento c/ España is offering tribute shows. On Thursday, July 30, Los Chicos de la Tapa will perform a Fito Páez tribute, followed by Gás Panic on Friday, July 31, with an Oasis tribute concert. Onkel Bar Haus, at Félix Bogado and Costa Rica, will host Brazilian music with Asunsamba on Thursday, July 30, and rock covers by The Others on Friday, July 31.

Further options include Amsterdam Pool Bar, which will feature pagode music by Pagode Do Joāozinho on Thursday and rock and roll by La Roca on Friday. Plaza Tamarindo will host Brazilian artist cantor ToN and DJ César DaCosta on Thursday, July 30, with free access. Additionally, the punk rock group Deficiente will hold their festival "Amistad Deficiente" at the cultural space La Chispa on Friday, July 31.
