International Magic Festival Returns to Romania, Joins World Circuit

Cluj-Napoca, Romania, is set to host the International Magic Festival ASTRALIS, a significant event returning after nearly a decade-long hiatus. This year's festival, integrated into the Wonder Family Fest, marks a historic moment for Romanian illusionism as it becomes part of the FISM world circuit, the most prestigious international organization for the art of magic.

From July 31 to August 2, Wonderland Resort in Cluj-Napoca will transform into a stage for illusionists from six countries: Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland, Bulgaria, and Romania. The event promises impressive magic shows, interactive demonstrations, and spectacular performances, all accessible with a Wonder Family Fest ticket. This inclusion in the FISM circuit elevates the competition's prestige, drawing top talent and international recognition.

For the first time, the competition is included in the world circuit of competitions organized under the aegis of FISM, the most prestigious international organization dedicated to the art of magic.

Magicians such as Dario Adiletta, Leonardo Fanelli, Matteo Cucchi, Nicola Lazzarini, and Davide Spada from Italy, Christian Bizau from Germany, Luis Enrique Macias Hermida from Spain, Radek Hoffman from Poland, Bojidar Kolev from Bulgaria, and Romania's own Rareș Baba and Mario Popescu are confirmed participants. They will compete for the ASTRALIS Trophy before an international jury, including FISM's international president Andrea Baioni and honorary president Prof. Dr. Domenico Dante.

The public will have the opportunity to see spectacular tricks up close, participate in interactive moments, and discover the secrets of an art that has fascinated generations.

A highly anticipated segment is the Street Magic, scheduled for August 1 and 2, where magicians will perform directly among spectators on the Wonderland Resort's pathways. This offers a close-up experience of astonishing tricks and interactive moments. The festival's climax will be the ASTRALIS International Gala on August 2, where finalists will showcase their skills on the Main Stage to determine the trophy winner.

Beyond the magic competitions, Wonder Family Fest boasts an extensive artistic program, featuring performances by artists like Fantomel & Kate Linn, Boney M. Xperience, Kaoma, Rareș, Iuliana Beregoi, and Horia Brenciu, among others. The festival aims to provide a comprehensive entertainment experience for families.

The prestige of the competition is also given by the composition of the jury. It includes two of the most important personalities of world illusionism: Andrea Baioni, international president of FISM, and prof. dr. Domenico Dante, honorary president of FISM.
