Iran Army Claims Drone Strike on U.S. Base in Bahrain

Iran's army has claimed responsibility for an attack on the U.S.-operated Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, deploying kamikaze drones in what it termed "Operation Lightning."

The announcement, made by the Public Relations Unit of the Iranian Army, stated that the strike was carried out as retaliation for the death of Brigadier General Majid Kazemi, a pilot in the Iranian Air Force. The operation marked the 26th phase of Iran's ongoing actions.

According to the statement, Iranian kamikaze drones targeted the base's electrical generators, navigation systems, and administrative and logistical buildings. Iran alleges that the attack significantly damaged the base's operational and logistical capabilities.

The incident underscores the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States in the region, with Iran asserting its readiness to respond to perceived provocations.
