Iran Claims Drone Attack on U.S. Base in Kuwait

Iran's military announced it conducted drone strikes against U.S. facilities in Kuwait, specifically targeting the Ahmad al-Jabir Air Base. According to a military statement, the strikes were aimed at fighter jet hangars, satellite communication systems, and equipment warehouses within the base.

The Iranian military asserted that these actions were a direct response to recent U.S. military aggression against Iran. This included a specific mention of a U.S. strike on a residential house on Qeshm Island, which local media reported resulted in the deaths of three family members. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has not yet issued any comment on the alleged Iranian strikes or the incident on Qeshm Island.

Qeshm Island is strategically located in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for oil and gas trade, through which approximately 20% of global oil shipments typically pass. Since February 28, Iran has effectively closed this route. The U.S. has been conducting strikes against Iran's southern coastal provinces in an effort to undermine Tehran's control over this critical maritime passage.
