Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, questioned the U.S. narrative on social media platform X. "Your narrative (Bessent) is nonsensical: you say Iran's military power has been 'crippled,' 100 percent of its military factories have been 'destroyed,' and its nuclear program has been 'buried,'" he posted. "Still need the 'largest financial attack in history' and the deployment of 'all American institutions and powers'! Is this a victory or an admission that America has lost?"

Bessent had also posted on X that the measures were taken after the U.S. crippled Iran's military capabilities, destroyed nearly 100 percent of its military factories, and buried its nuclear program. Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Ministry warned other nations against joining the U.S. economic campaign. Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei stated that participation would lead to consequences.
