Iranian drone and missile attacks target Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain and Iraq

Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain reported intercepting new Iranian attacks overnight, while Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it struck U.S. bases in Iraq’s Erbil with missiles and drones.

Jordan said its defenses intercepted and destroyed 10 ballistic missiles launched from Iran. Three more missiles fell in remote areas, the official Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. No casualties were reported.

Kuwait’s military said its air defenses intercepted what it called “hostile drone attacks” from Iran. It said explosions heard across the Gulf state resulted from the interception operations. Bahrain also said it intercepted and destroyed Iranian drones over its territory.

Iran had earlier said it targeted U.S. military bases in Jordan in response to previous American attacks. Iranian media also reported strikes on a U.S. base in Bahrain, but no official confirmation followed.

The latest reports came after the United States and Iran said on Tuesday that they had carried out new attacks against each other. U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States had again targeted Iranian sites near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said its attack on bases in Erbil destroyed a maintenance facility and warehouses containing U.S. military technical equipment. It also claimed that ground forces set fire to fuel tanks and killed several attackers.
