IRGC claims killing US soldiers, destroying F-35s at Jordan base in retaliation

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for an attack on Jordan's Al-Azraq Air Base, asserting that the operation resulted in the deaths of several U.S. soldiers and the destruction of three F-35 fighter jets. The IRGC stated the attack was a direct response to earlier strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island.

According to a message posted on Telegram by the IRGC, three other aircraft at the base sustained damage. The U.S. military has not issued any comment regarding these claims at the time of this report.

This alleged attack follows a recent escalation between the U.S. and Iran, with both nations trading strikes within the past week. Earlier reports indicated that three IRGC soldiers were killed in what Iran described as a U.S. missile attack on Iran's Zanjan province. U.S. President Donald Trump had previously warned of severe retaliation against Iran for any strikes on U.S. military assets in the region.
