Islamabad Police Get 30 New Vehicles, Ending 14-Year Wait

Islamabad's police force has received a significant boost with the delivery of 30 new vehicles, marking the end of a 14-year period without updated mobility resources. The vehicles were handed over to 27 police stations across the federal capital during a ceremony attended by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Tallal Chaudhry.

Only by meeting police requirements in line with the times can we achieve the desired results. These new vehicles will improve police response time.

Minister Naqvi emphasized the importance of modern equipment for effective policing, stating that achieving desired results is impossible with non-functional vehicles. He assured that all necessary resources are being provided to the Islamabad police to ensure public safety and security, enabling them to perform their duties more effectively. The initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize the force and improve its operational capabilities.

With the provision of resources, police will be able to perform their duties in a better manner.

Beyond new vehicles, the government is also undertaking construction and upgrades for all police stations in Islamabad, with completion expected soon. Furthermore, 9,000 new personnel are being recruited to address manpower shortages, with a strict adherence to merit. Minister Chaudhry highlighted that these comprehensive measures, implemented over the last two years, aim to transform Islamabad police into a model force for the entire country. The inclusion of electric vehicles also aligns with the government's environmental policy, promising a reduction in petroleum expenditures.
