Israeli military detects launches from Lebanon, urges northern communities to seek shelter

Israeli forces identified two launches that landed in areas of southern Lebanon where Israeli soldiers were operating, though no further details were provided. The Lebanese National News Agency (ANN) has not yet reported on these specific launches.

This warning from the Israeli military occurs within a context of escalating violence that has persisted since the commencement of Israel's offensive against Lebanon on March 2. According to figures released by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday, the Israeli offensive has resulted in 3,666 deaths and over 11,321 injuries since March 2. Bombings continue daily, despite a ceasefire agreement reached between the two countries last week.

On Wednesday, the Lebanese agency reported that Israeli warplanes and drones conducted up to eight strikes in the southern Lebanese town of Tayr Debba, where several individuals remain missing. The Israeli military also targeted surrounding localities, including Qalila, Mansouri, and Zibqin, as well as the city of Majdal Zoun, which experienced a fifth aerial attack, according to ANN. The violence persists despite a ceasefire that has been in effect since late April, and following Iran's announcement of ceasing attacks against Israel on Sunday and Monday in response to a prior bombing in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
