Israeli settlers clash with Palestinians in Nablus

Israeli settlers entered the West Bank city of Nablus on Friday morning, clashing with Palestinians, the Israeli army reported. The incident follows a deadly clash just a week prior, where settlers attacked a village, leading to the deaths of four Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers.

The army claims Palestinians threw stones at Israeli civilians, and one Israeli fired into the air. Later, soldiers opened fire on a "main instigator" after settlers reported that individuals were "desecrating a cemetery" in the Nablus area. Settlers also traversed areas A and B, normally off-limits to Israeli civilians and not approved by the army.

In a separate incident, Palestinian media reported that Israeli settlers set fire to an orchard south of Nablus, destroying several olive trees. Settlers reportedly prevented Palestinian civil defense units from accessing the area to extinguish the blaze. Additionally, Israeli forces conducted raids across the West Bank, detaining ten Palestinians, according to security and local sources.
