Israeli soldiers kill 6-year-old boy in Gaza, wound father who was later arrested and released

Israeli soldiers killed a 6-year-old boy with a shot to the head and wounded his father as they walked near the Gaza border. The Israeli military is investigating the incident, which occurred near Deir al Balah in central Gaza.

According to the boy's grandfather, Naouaf Abu Alagiin, the family was walking along Salah al Din street when soldiers opened fire from a military post. An Israeli military vehicle then approached, detained the father and his brother-in-law, and took them to an Israeli base for interrogation.

Hours later, around midnight, the father, who was seriously wounded in the legs, and his deceased son were released. The father carried his son's body and eventually sought help from a pro-Israeli militia, who transported them to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The hospital confirmed the boy's death from a skull wound and the father's critical condition. The brother-in-law remains in Israeli custody.
