Istanbul's dam water levels drop to 55.01% as of July 30: İSKİ

Istanbul's water reserves are showing a significant decline, with the average dam occupancy rate falling to 55.01% as of July 30, according to the latest figures released by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ).

This decrease highlights a concerning trend for the city's water supply, particularly as the summer season progresses. Several crucial reservoirs have dipped below critical thresholds. Terkos Dam, a primary water source for the European side of Istanbul, now stands at 46.41% capacity, dropping below the 50% mark. Similarly, Büyükçekmece Dam, which supplies a densely populated area, has fallen to 39.46%.

İSKİ released a comprehensive list detailing the current water levels for all major dams supplying Istanbul:
