Italy to Host Meeting on Two-State Solution in Rome, July 28-29

Italy is set to host a crucial international meeting in Rome aimed at bolstering efforts towards a two-state solution. Scheduled for July 28-29, the gathering will bring together key stakeholders to discuss pathways for peace in the region.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced that he will co-chair the meeting with his Saudi counterpart. The summit intends to provide new momentum to the New York Declaration, a significant agreement signed last year, signaling a renewed commitment to diplomatic solutions.

A central theme of the Rome meeting will be interreligious dialogue. Minister Tajani emphasized its critical importance in fostering understanding and strengthening the overall prospects for achieving lasting peace.

The announcement was made by Tajani during an briefing to the joint Foreign Affairs and Defense Committees of the Chamber and Senate, following the NATO Summit in Ankara. This initiative underscores Italy's active role in promoting regional stability and diplomatic engagement.
