ITDC Strengthens Partnerships Ahead of 2026 Indonesian MotoGP at Mandalika

With the 2026 Indonesian MotoGP approaching, organizers are presenting the race as more than a motorsport event. They see it as a vehicle for bringing visitors to Mandalika and Lombok and increasing what they spend during their stay.

Troy Reza Warokka, operations director of InJourney Tourism Development Corporation, said the race was about 36 or 37 days away when he spoke at a partnership signing ceremony in Jakarta on Sept. 1, 2026. He described the cooperation between participating organizations as essential to ensuring the event runs smoothly and delivers broader benefits to local communities.

I think this shows extraordinary togetherness because, as far as I remember, there are only 37 or 36 days left until MotoGP.

The event will also feature two Indonesian riders competing in Moto2 and Moto3. Troy said their presence formed part of a shared ambition to make Indonesia better known on the international motorsport stage.

MotoGP is not only a motorsport event, but also a driver of the tourism economy that can increase visitor numbers, extend length of stay and raise tourism spending in Mandalika and Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

ITDC and Mandalika Grand Prix Association are developing a bundled package linking race tickets with accommodation, air and sea transport, airport services and hospitality. Troy said the arrangement responds to recurring concerns over limited lodging, transportation and connectivity to Mandalika.

The partnership covers accommodation, hospitality, air and sea links, travel packages and cargo handling. Troy said support for this year's race had grown stronger, with cooperation extending across the services needed to host visitors and manage the event.

This answers many people's questions about the difficulty of accommodation, transportation and connectivity, because those issues have actually been addressed over the past few years, but this time the support has become even stronger.
