JAC 4 2027: Updated Compact SUV Arrives in Mexico with 43 Improvements

JAC has introduced the 2027 JAC 4 in Mexico, an updated compact SUV boasting 43 enhancements across design, connectivity, equipment, comfort, and safety. The company aims to offer a competitive value proposition in a segment where consumers prioritize price, features, and brand support. Manufacturing the vehicle in Mexico allows JAC to streamline production, tailor specifications for the local market, and ensure product availability.

The exterior features a new grille, full LED headlights, and 18-inch wheels for a more modern look. Inside, the JAC 4 2027 boasts a 12.8-inch multimedia display, a 6.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Rear passengers benefit from a USB-C port. Comfort features include configurable ambient lighting with 64 colors, an electrically adjustable driver's seat with ventilation and lumbar support, privacy rear windows, and welcome lights.

Convenience is enhanced with a smart key and remote start, power-folding heated side mirrors, and automatic window operation when locking the vehicle. The powertrain remains a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 134 horsepower and 147 lb-ft of torque, coupled with a CVT transmission, focusing on a balance of performance and efficiency for daily use.

Safety receives significant updates, including new tire designs for improved wet grip and reduced braking distance. Advanced driver-assistance systems now include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a door-opening warning. The vehicle also features traction control, emergency stop signaling, and a 540-degree panoramic camera with a 180-degree transparent chassis function for easier parking. JAC Mexico notes that consumers are increasingly comparing options before purchasing. The JAC 4 is assembled in Ciudad Sahagún, Hidalgo, with increasing use of Mexican-sourced components, priced at $369,000.
