Jakarta Police Investigate Death of Man Linked to Former Deputy Attorney General

Jakarta police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Sutrimo, a 42-year-old man from Central Java, who was found deceased on Thursday, July 23, 2026. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet concluded the cause of death.

According to preliminary information, Sutrimo was the head of household at the residence of Febrie Adriansyah, the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes. On the day of his death, Sutrimo reportedly complained of feeling unwell to a colleague and requested to be taken to a nearby clinic. While at the clinic, he allegedly began vomiting foam.

His colleague then called for an ambulance. However, by the time emergency services arrived, Sutrimo had already passed away. Police are meticulously collecting statements from family members, ambulance drivers, hospital staff, and other individuals who may have relevant information. They are also examining medical records and details related to the ambulance booking and the location where Sutrimo was found.
