Jakarta Police Urge Family to Report Suspicions in Sutrimo's Death Investigation

Jakarta police are investigating the mysterious death of Sutrimo, a 42-year-old resident of Banyumas, Central Java, who was found dead on July 23, 2026, in South Jakarta. Sutrimo was discovered with foam emanating from his mouth, prompting authorities to urge his family to come forward with any information if they suspect foul play.

According to reports, Sutrimo, who worked at the residence of a former high-ranking official, complained of illness to a colleague around 7:30 AM. He was taken to a clinic in Kramat Pela, South Jakarta, where he vomited and was pronounced dead by the time an ambulance arrived.

Police spokesperson Kombes Budi Hermanto stated that the cause of death is still under investigation. "Whether it is natural or unnatural, this is still being investigated," he told reporters. The police are also looking into rumors that Sutrimo worked for former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, and are examining his connections to various individuals, including the former official.

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, along with the South Jakarta Metro Police, are professionally and carefully gathering evidence. This includes interviewing family members, ambulance drivers, hospital staff, and others familiar with the events. Investigators are also reviewing medical records, ambulance booking information, and the location where Sutrimo was found. Police have asked the public to avoid speculation and the spread of unverified information.
