JEF Medical Outreach Provides Over 9,600 Interventions to 3,000+ Residents in Osun State

The Jennifer Etuh Foundation (JEF) has successfully concluded a five-day free medical outreach in Ifewara, Osun State, Nigeria, benefiting over 3,000 residents. The initiative, conducted in collaboration with Pro-Health International, recorded an impressive 9,601 medical interventions.

A team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and medical laboratory scientists provided a comprehensive range of free healthcare services. These included medical consultations, routine screenings, health education, specialized eye and dental care, and various surgical procedures. The foundation aimed to overcome common barriers to healthcare access for vulnerable Nigerians, such as financial difficulties, limited health awareness, and geographical distance from facilities.

A key innovation of this outreach was the integration of digital health data management. OLGNova Limited, the foundation's data partner, led the digitization of health information, replacing traditional paper-based records with a centralized digital database. This system enhances the accuracy and reliability of health records, facilitating subsequent analysis and improving healthcare planning and continuity of care beyond the event.

The outreach also emphasized prevention and health education, equipping community members with knowledge on healthy lifestyles and disease prevention. Notably, the program included a spiritual component, with 629 individuals making decisions to follow Christ. Organizers highlighted the event as a demonstration of the impact of strategic partnerships in addressing healthcare gaps in underserved communities, advocating for sustained investment in community-based healthcare.
