Positioned in a takeoff stance and restored to its former glory, the aircraft is a veteran of missions in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya. However, the prominent display has ignited a debate among residents and visitors.

In response, Mayor Christofer De Zotti, during the inauguration ceremony attended by military and civilian authorities, framed the jet as a "message of peace" guaranteed by the military daily. General Luca Vitaliti, deputy commander of the Aerospace Operations Command, echoed this, stating the aircraft should watch over the city's serenity. The AMX, a robust and easily maintained jet produced in Italy and Brazil, was provided by the 51st Wing of Istrana, with which Jesolo has a "Friendship Pact."
