Jewish settler ambushed near Kiryat Arba; abducted woman rescued

A Jewish settler faced an ambush near Kiryat Arba, reportedly attacked by individuals armed with clubs, according to Army Radio. The woman managed to alert authorities, prompting the Kiryat Arba police chief to respond to the scene.

During the response, the police chief was reportedly struck by stones, sustaining a minor head injury. Despite the assault, he fired shots into the air, causing the assailants to flee, the report stated.

In a separate, but related, incident, a woman in her 20s from central Israel, who had been forcibly abducted to the West Bank city of Hebron by her relatives, was successfully located and rescued by a joint operation involving Israeli police, IDF troops, and Palestinian Authority police. The woman was reported to be in good health following the rescue. Her relatives, who allegedly took her to Hebron, were detained for further investigation.
